Friends,
Wherever you
travel there are signs that welcome you to town. You can see
displayed on posts the organizations and when they meet.
Churches list services and schools rank their athletes
accomplishments. We have become so accustomed to the sameness
of the outside of communities we have stopped looking at what
they actually are.
Indianola has
all the things other cities list. We have excellent public
schools and Simpson College. We have organizations for all and
churches that will open their doors to you. We have a central
business district on the town square and a highway district
with all you could wish. By any measurement, Indianola has
what is expected of any progressive and growing community.
That is not
the measurement of Indianola; we are not a common community.
It is our people that set us apart from others because our
citizens are our “Welcome” sign. Visit us, sit down and talk
to us — we are the community you thought about when you were
very young. A
family extended to a city.
